The Shahibaug police on Monday arrested three resident doctors working with the Civil Hospital on the charges of molesting the relative of the patient admitted at the hospital. However, the accused were released on bail as theirs' was a bailable offence.
According to the sources, on September 13, 35-year-old Haseena Sheikh (name changed on request) filed a complaint against the three doctors- Sunil Yadav, Yogesh Shinde and Chandrakant Apodhra for molesting her while she had gone to visit her sister-in-law in the hospital. The accused called her in the cabin at 4 pm and attempted to outrage her modesty.
The incident at that point had transpired into a big controversy and the hospital denied all the allegations. It stated that the reason behind the complaint might be an outcome of a scuffle between the doctors and the patient's family over charging of mobile phones.
However, after the incident, the police arrested the doctors on Monday and produced them before the metropolitan magistrate court. They were later released on bail.
