3 found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kashmir

Three persons, including two youth, were found dead under suspicious circumstances in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Thursday.

Muzaffar Ahmad Kenu (25) and his cousin Sabzar Ahmad Bhat (24) were found dead on the banks of river Lidder at Munznoo-Akoora village of Mattan, 60 km from Srinagar, last evening, the spokesman said.

After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their next of kin, he said.

The spokesman said police also recovered body of 56-year-old Mohammad Ashraf Hafiz from his bus at Pahalgam hill resort, 100 km from Srinagar, on Thursday.

Hafiz, a resident of Bijbehara, was found dead inside the parked vehicle at the bus stand in the hill resort, he said adding the cause of death is being investigated.
