The Finance and Investments Club of Indian Institute of Management,  Ahmedabad  (BETA) is organising the grand finale of a national-level financial services competition, EXCHEQUER 2011, from Saturday.

The three-day event is being organised in association with UDSB, Axis Bank, and Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE). The event will be a platform where students from India's top B-schools would compete for being crowned as 'the Wizards of Finance in India'.

IIMA students claim the event will be a step higher this year as the president of corporate banking of Axis Bank, Nilesh Shah, will be coming down to the campus to judge the event. Shah, along with Sandip Bansal, associate director at UBS, and Soumitra Sharma from the investment team at IDG Ventures, will be testing the participants for their knowledge and skill.

EXCHEQUER would test its participants through competitions that shall simulate real-world conditions as closely as possible across all major financial disciplines, says a release. The top nine teams of the teams from 25 top B-schools in India that were invited to participate in the preliminary round will contest in the grand finale.
