Corporate lobbyist Nira Radia whose taped conversations with politicians, bureaucrats and journalists form a key part of the investigations into the 2G spectrum allocation scam met CBI director AP Singh on Wednesday to lodge a complaint against a lawyer for allegedly blackmailing her.

“Radia said she had received a threatening letter. The letter is addressed to the CBI director and threatens to harass the corporate lobbyist. But we have not got any such letter,” a CBI official said. A source privy to the development said Radia sought an appointment with Singh in his North Block office instead of the CBI headquarters in the national capital to avoid the media. She also met officials in the ministry of home affairs.

Radia is listed as witness number 44 among over 125 witnesses in the 2G case. The CBI is likely to file the second supplementary charge sheet in the 2G scam by June end or in first week of July, sources said.
