2G scam: Karim Morani to get cooler, airy-cell

Demanding a separate cell in Tihar jail, Cineyug Films founder Karim Morani, arrested for his alleged involvement in the 2G scam, on Tuesday filed an application before the special CBI court saying he needed it because of his medical ailments.

Morani in his application before CBI special judge OP Saini had complained about the dusty lock up at Tihar.

His counsel Siddharth Luthra said: “Morani is suffering from serious heart ailment and other medical problem. Accordingly he is facing breathing problem in the cell, where he is presently lodged.”

The judge said: “Considering his medical condition he may be placed in a cell, which is less dusty and also comparatively cooler.”
