A 23-year-old man, wanted in several cases of robbery, was arrested in west Delhi, police said on Sunday.
The arrested has been identified as Amit Malik, who is declared a proclaimed offender by a local court. He was arrested from Raghubir Nagar on a tip off.
He was allegedly involved in at least seven cases of robbery, murder, and dacoity, V Renganathan, deputy commissioner of police (West), said.
"His family members are indulging in boot legging but Amit wanted to do something different so that he can earn quick and fast money in a short span of time. In 2008, he came in contact with Phool Singh and Manny who were from his in-laws side and were associates of robber Joginder alias Joga. He joined the gang," he said.
