The officials of Gujarat College in Ellisbridge extension area were stunned after they found hundreds of syrup bottles in a hostel room. Officials said that around 200 bottles of medicine (pain killers for ulcers in the form of syrup) were found in the hostel on Wednesday morning.
Soon the news spread in the campus that some students were keeping the syrups in the hostel room to use it as stimulant. But later it was found that the syrups were left in the room by one of the former students. According to Dr AS Rathod, principal of the college, the medicine was left by a student who is a medical representative.
He said that the student used to live in the hostel. He said that the student had kept the medicine in his friend's room and has assured him that he would take it within a few days.
