2 minors raped in Uttar Pradesh

Two minors have been allegedly raped in different districts of Uttar Pradesh, police said today.

While, an eight-year-old was allegedly raped by a 62-year-old man in Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar, another girl of same age was sexually molested in Barabanki district.

In CSM Nagar's Mohanganj area, Shoaib Khan allegedly abducted the minor, who was returning from a madrasa last evening, and outraged her modesty, police said, adding that the accused has been arrested.

The another incident happened in Haidergarh of Barabanki district, where a youth Rajendra allegedly raped an eight-year-old.

The accused, who tried to escape after incident came to light, was caught by the villagers and was handed over to police.

The authorities said they are investigating into the case and the accused have been booked under various sections of IPC.
