2 arrested in Uttar Pradesh for murder of minor

Two persons were today arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a seven-year-old boy, missing from Gudumba area since November 2, police said.

Raj Kumar and Ram Snehi were arrested from Basania village in Itaunja in the wee hours this morning on charges of kidnapping and murder of Gaurav Dwiwedi, who went missing from Atrauli area on Tuesday evening, they said.

Police said that Gaurav's body was recovered from Daulatpur village in 'Bakshi ka Talab' area on the identification of the accused.

Raj Kumar used to work as a domestic help at Gaurva's residence, they said.

Gaurav was kidnapped on Tuesday evening when he had gone to attend tuition classes, police said, adding that later the kidnappers made a ransom call and demanded Rs15 lakh for the safe release of the boy.

Raj Kumar and Ram Sheni killed the boy immediately after kidnapping him and disposed off his body at a secluded spot in Daulatpur village.
