18-year-old arrested for raping, killing minor girl in Rajasthan

An 18-year old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping and killing a 7-year old girl in Phagi area near Jaipur, police said today.

The accused Mangi Lal Bairwa was nabbed in Tonk district yesterday and was taken to Phagi police station for interrogation where he confessed to the crime, the police said.

He was produced before a local court here today and was remanded to police custody till May 30.

Bairwa had allegedly raped and killed the girl on May 21 at an isolated area in Phagi area in the district.
