15-year-old girl gang-raped, two minors held in Delhi

A 15-year-old student was raped by three persons, including two minors, after they lured her to an isolated place in east Delhi, police said today.

The incident was reported from Ghazipur yesterday, they said.

The girl, a student of Class X, left her residence for her aunt's place in Mayur Vihar.

She had stepped out of her house when one of the accused, a 16-year-old boy who is the brother of her sister's friend, offered her a lift on his motorcycle.

He allegedly took her to an isolated place in Ghazipur where two of his associates were waiting.

The victim told police that the trio allegedly took turns to rape her.

They also allegedly threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident.

After the family approached the police, she was taken to a hospital where a medical examination confirmed rape.

The two minor boys were detained while the third person identified as Noushad, who is in his early twenties, is absconding.
