12-year-old boy rapes 14-year-old girl in Delhi

A 12-year-old boy allegedly raped a minor girl in the national capital, police said today.

The incident was reported yesterday from the servants' quarter of an IAS officer's bungalow located on Bhagwan Das Road, a senior police official said.

It came to light when the 14-year-old victim and her parents approached Tilak Marg Police Station last evening.

Police took her to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where a medical examination confirmed rape.

A case was registered against and the minor boy was taken into custody and sent to child observation home, the official said.

The victim lives in servants' quarter in D Block in Bhagwan Das road and her mother works in the house of an IAS officer.

The boy is her neighbour and he allegedly raped the victim when she was alone at her home.
