1105 persons disappeared in J&K: Omar Abdullah

Jammu and Kashmir government today said that 1,105 persons have disappeared during the two decades of militancy in the state.

"1,105 persons are reported to have disappeared in the state since 1989," chief minister Omar Abdullah told the state assembly during Question Hour.

Of these, 530 persons have been provided an ex-gratia relief, he said.
   
Replying to another question, the chief minister said that 34 police personnel hailing from Poonch constituency are presently posted in Kashmir zone for the last 8-10 years.
