Watch: Scooter driver crushed to death by BEST bus, driver booked

An accident took place on Wednesday morning around 7.25am at Khairani road, Sakinaka in Mumbai, wherein a scooter rider was crushed to death under a BEST bus. The footage doing rounds on social media shows the bike rider trying to cross the road in full speed without looking out for other vehicles around.  

A Facebook user Kamlesh Desai, who has uploaded the CCTV footage has mentioned that the bus driver has been booked under Section 304A. Section 304A under IPC is read as causing death by negligence, a negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide. A person charged with 304A can be punished with two years of imprisonment or a fine, or both. 

The video which is going viral on Facebook and has around 80k views, has already been shared more than 1,500 times. People are trying to petition so that the "innocent" driver or the bus is not punished.
