Rajasthan University to upload 3 lakh degrees on its website

The Rajasthan University (RU) has a piece of good news for around three lakh students who would be appearing in their final-year examinations. Now, the students would be able to view their degree online before it is finally handed over to them.

The move has come as a big relief to the students who often suffer due to discrepancies in their mark-sheets and degrees.

Now the university administration would make a soft copy of degrees available online. The degrees would be uploaded on the varsity’s website.

The final-year students will be able to view their degrees online and if they find any discrepancy in their name or subjects that they had opted, they can bring it to the notice of the university which would rectify the errors in the final print of the degree.

The students will have to point out the discrepancies and move an application before the university administration, after which the errors would be rectified. The university administration would check the tenders on January 15 after which the degrees of the students would be uploaded on its website. The administration has planned to upload around three lakh degrees.

It may be noted that it has been 21 years since the degrees have not been distributed to the private and regular students of the varsity.

Officials also said that degrees would be distributed to the students during the convocation which may become a regular feature from next year.
