Yoga guru Ramdev on Friday said there was "no clash" between allopathy and Ayurveda and that the two can complement each other in many areas to reduce human suffering. "Whether it is allopathy or Yoga, our motto should be to lessen human suffering around the world. There should be no controversies between different systems of medicine. "We should find the cause of disease and try to prevent it and cure it by any system of medicine subject to its benefit to the patient. Knowledge should not be restricted within boundaries but spread to all sections of society," he said while delivering a talk at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

In this regard, he said they have done experiments using giloy and aloe vera herbs on dengue patients for increasing the platelet count and found it useful. Like modern systems of medicine, we have started keeping scientific data and publishing our work, he said. "We have no clash with allopathy. In fact, we can complement each other in many areas. We are involving many diagnostic modalities of modern systems of medicine during treatment of patients at Patanjali Yoga Peeth. I would appeal to doctors to take help of our ancient systems of medicine for completely curing patients," he added.

He, meanwhile, said, "We are going to establish the world's biggest Yoga research centre very soon. Yoga is for all sections of society, rich or poor, doctor or businessman."
