Students from various schools had come to greet PM Modi at Espinas Palace Hotel, where he was staying.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday evening interacted with students from various schools, who had come to greet him at Espinas Palace Hotel, where he was staying.
Escorted by security officials, as Prime Minister Modi walked inside the hotel, a group of students holding both Indians and Iranian flags greeted him. The Prime Minister then interacted with them.

Earlier evening, Prime Minister Modi paid respect at the Bhai Ganga Singh Sabha gurudwara and addressed the Sikh community here and said that new generation should know about the sacrifices of the great Gurus and about the Guru Granth Sahib.

Accompanied by Union Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari and others, he also participated in a 'kirtan' (prayer).
Prime Minister Modi earlier arrived at Mehrabad International Airport on a two-day official visit to Iran at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani.
Accorded with red carpet welcome, he was received by Dr. Ali Tayebnia, Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance.

Prime Minister Modi's visit will mainly focus on connectivity and infrastructure, energy partnership with Tehran and boosting bilateral trade.
India, Iran and Afghanistan will sign an agreement on developing Chabahar port on May 23.
Prime Minister Modi's first tour to Iran will feature discussions on terrorism in the region as well as on India's desire to secure energy assets for a fast growing economy.
His major engagement tomorrow consists of restricted talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, delegation- level talks, signing of agreements between both nations.
Iranian President Rouhani is scheduled to host lunch for the visiting Prime Minister, followed by ceremonial signing of trilateral agreement.
