The Jammu and Kashmir Police have picked up a red colour Tipper which was by Mohammad Naved alias Usman and his associates in June 2015 to travel from North Kashmir to South Kashmir.

The vehicle was used by the militants after they crossed over from Line of Control (LoC) into Inda.  The driver of the vehicle was from Pulwama area of South Kashmir. An English daily reports that the militants had help from local civilian contacts.

The vehicle had been found by the police in June. The Police suspects the militants have been in South Kashmir since then. In June, there was an encounter between the military forces and the militants in Pulwama. The Police believe that Lashqar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Qasim Peer might have been there with the militants who got away.

One GPS was recovered from the house where militants had taken shelter that suggests that their final stop was in Khodwani village in South Kashmir. From there, they were taken to Udhampur by a truck driver who along with the truck is missing.
