Though the Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that the ink attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was part of a "big rehearsal" to possibly "physically harm" him in future, a leading daily has reported that Kejriwal's PA had asked police personnel to step down from the dais during his address at the Chhatrasal stadium on Sunday.

The report says that several cops have complained to their seniors saying Kejriwal had on several occasions stopped them from accompanying him and the issue has been brought to the notice of home minister Rajnath Singh.

Quoting the cop, the report said, "Kejriwal's personal assistant (PA) allegedly asked him to get off the dais and instructed the people there to not allow anyone "in uniform" on the stage. After this, the cop joined a dozen other cops standing at guard below the stage."

However, AAP leader and former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti told ANI, "One thing is clear that security officials were not present there when the incident took place. We do not know on whose instructions they were not there. It is very surprising that they (police), who do not listen to even Kejriwal, listened to his PA."

A woman had on Sunday thrown ink at Kejriwal when he was expressing his gratitude to the people of Delhi for making the Odd-Even formula a success at the Chhatrasal Stadium.

The woman later said, "The Odd-Even formula was positive, but behind that was a big CNG Scam, of which I have proof. That is why I wanted to meet the Chief Minister and Gopal Raiji (Transport Minister), but they didn't agree to meet me."

Meanwhile, though Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi has rubbished the accusation, AAP leader Ashutosh said," Mr Bassi stop planting stories in media. World knows your competence and allegiance and whom you report to in PMO."

In a series of tweets, he said, "Mr Bassi I like ur lame excuse. PA said and cop got down. Wow! Where is the security protocol! Why don't u name the cop!"

"Mr Bassi claims Z+ to CM, round the clock with 51 policemen. Not one police man with him when CM was coming from Ludhiana to Delhi in train!," he added.
