"They (AAP) have just taken over the reins of Delhi, but on the second day itself they stopped the media persons from going in the Secretariat. On the third day, their Deputy Chief Minister boycotted the press conference in a huff. The promises they made to Delhi, they know they cannot deliver and want to put blame somewhere else. There is a big difference in what they say what they do because till now they have not done anything," Jain, BJP in-charge for Haryana, said.
AAP, whose protests start from February 21, has alleged that the state government had "betrayed farmers". Asked about the land deals involving the company of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's businessman son-in-law Robert Vadra, Jain said it is a serious issue.
"Information and facts are being collected in this case and future course of action would be decided soon," he said.
In reply to a question, Jain said that the present BJP government has just completed its 100 days in office, but to brand it as "inexperienced" will not be correct, even though "there is always room for improvement". The main priority of the state government is to ensure transparency and steps are being taken to ensure zero tolerance against corruption from top to bottom, he said.
When asked that a perception has gained that the BJP government in Haryana has failed to handle issues like the ones involving standoff at Barwala's Satlok Ashram involving self-styled 'godman' Rampal in November last year, Jain, said "this was the litmus test (for the new govt in Haryana), but we handled this issue very well.."
For the first time, BJP formed government on its own in Haryana after the October 2014 assembly polls. Meanwhile, Jain said that 11 study groups of MLAs will be formed in areas of their interest to assess the ground realities in the state. These study groups will submit the inputs collected by them to the concerned Ministers, he said, adding this decision was taken in today's meeting.
Besides chief minister Khattar, Jain and state BJP chief Subash Barala, most of the Ministers and MLAs took part in today's legislature party meet here, which was held at the Chief Minister's residence.
