Controversial godwoman Radhe Maa is again in the news after a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab accused her of harrasment. Surendra Mittal, the man accusing her claims that he has an audio tape which has the godwoman calling him up and threatening him with dire consequences.

Surendra Mittal, the man accusing her claims that he has an audio tape which has the godwoman calling him up and threatening him with dire consequences. He also has a copy of messages that were exchanged between him and a mobile number registered in Punjab.
The man claims he was threatened because he was in touch with a Mumbai-based woman who had filed an FIR against the godwoman citing harassment and mental torture in a dowry case. Radhe Maa has been booked under the Dowry Prohbition Act in Mumbai following the complainant.
The Mumbai based woman was quoted saying: “My husband and in-laws used to say I had not got enough jewellery and cash from my parents.” She also said that she had been tortured.
Mittal had in the past opposed Radhe Maa when she declared herself as an incarnation of God in Punjab's Phagwara and staged a dharna against her. (Read: Who is Radhe Maa?)
Radhe Maa, is known for her lavish lifestyle and high-profile devotees and has been in the cenre of controversy after pictures of her dressed in a mini-skirt started doing the rounds of social media. The godwoman has also been banned from the Kumbh Mela. Mahant Gyandas, who also claims to be the president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad said, "The entry of pretenders is rising in the sacred arena of sadhus and mahants. Trikal Bhavanta, Radhe Maa, and Sachchidananda, who is a liquor professional, should be restrained from participating in the 'shahi snan' (sacred bath)."
