'Tis the season for fun and celebration, we add a dash of imagination to it!

Fans of F.R.I.E.N.D.S know that every season of the show, except season two, had a Thanksgiving episode. All these episodes were one up on the rest of the season with the merriment and chaos turned up to eleven! Generally, the time for Thanksgiving and Diwali coincides. If the cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S was set in India, we would have mandatory Diwali episodes instead of Thanksgiving, !

Now that Diwali is here, here’s what we think Diwali would be like if Joey, Chandler, Monica, Ross, Rachel, and Phoebe were to celebrate it.

Rachel’s dessert

Remember that one time when Rachel made the ‘traditional English Trifle’? Which, according to Ross, tasted “like feet”? Yeah, now, think what kheer would taste like if she added capsicum and chilli flakes to milk, rice and sugar. In Janice’s words, “Oh. My. God.” Of course, the only person to eat those would be Joey. Obviously.

Classic Joey

Well, Joey always does something that is straight up daft! What we can totally expect from Joey on Diwali is that he keeps the bottle with the crackers horizontally and not vertically.

Phoebe’s tragedy from her past lives

Sometimes, when asked to recollect what happened to her two years ago, Phoebe is highly capable of telling us what happened 200 years ago! If she was celebrating Diwali in India, she’d probably be going around protesting against crackers or she’d tell her story from how 200 years ago, she was fighting a war and her Diwali was spent defusing bombs and not blasting them.

Ross’ trivia

Well, not just Diwali, every day is incomplete until Ross gives us the most unwanted information that only he so possesses. One can totally imagine him correcting the rest of the group’s facts on the Ramayana, without a thought to how nobody is even listening to him.

Monica’s meal

If Thanksgiving is incomplete without Monica’s king-size meals, so would Diwali! Imagine how amazing it would be to eat, with lights all around, amidst your loved ones, year after year?

Chandler’s jokes and depression

Obviously, Chandler is not big on Thanksgiving. We are sure he would have some sob-story for Diwali too! But he will derive joy out of the festival sucking for everyone else in the group.
