The magical world of the other side of the pond has turned upside down in the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Newt Scamander, the magizoologist, moves to New York of 1920's with a suitcase full of magical beasts. In the new trailer, we get to look at the insides of that suitcase. It is another world in itself where Scamander nurtures these wonderful creatures.

Somehow, some of these creatures escape the confines of the case. They mix with the other creatures already living a discreet life in the Big Apple of 1920's. Scamander has to find them all (sounds like a very Pokemon-ish thing to do!) with the help of Porpentina Goldstein, another witch, and Jacob Kowalski, a No-Maj.

The quest is not so simple because authorities, especially Seraphina Picquery gets involved. Percival Graves and Credence are talking about coming out of the shadows and from the looks of are very much interested in keeping Scamander's beasts to themselves and outing the secret wizarding community.

I have to admit, previous trailers and teasers only gave me the idea of what I will be watching when November 18 dawns. This trailer gave me a reason to be excited about it. The CGI/VFX work looks fantastic. The detailing of the creatures and new effects for the spells that are being cast are spectacular. Especially when one of the beasts, Thunderbird, takes a flight. I also couldn't stop giggling when the small Weasley-Platypus like creature tries to steal crystals and baubles and then they just fall out of its fur! Also, if you pay close attention, you can hear the notes of Harry Potter theme in the background.

Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne plays Newt Scamander, a Hufflepuff wizard. Katherine Waterston plays Porpentina Goldstein, Dan Fogler is Jacob Kowalski, Collin Farrell is Percival Graves, Ezra Miller is Credence, and Carmen Ejogo is Seraphina Picquery.

The movie is directed by David Yates and is based on a book with the same title by JK Rowling.
