It’s time to vote for your favourite Yes! i am the CHANGE  (YIAC) film for the Popular Choice Awards and bring about social change through films! The Yes Foundation is back with the third edition of the world’s largest social film movement – YIAC 101 Hour Social Filmmaking challenge.

The competition saw the participation of youngsters from across the nation. They made three-minute long films on pressing societal topics of Environmental Safety, Women’s Safety, Education and Child Rights, Employment, Animal Care among others. A cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh will be awarded to each of the three films with maximum votes.

The films in each of the ten categories were shortlisted by a jury comprising of filmmaker Vikas Bahl, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, social worker Anu Aga, Director of UNDP-India Jaco Cilliers and other such eminent personalities from film, corporate, education and development sectors.

The initiative, mentored by distinguished individuals including Pradeep Guha, Ronnie Lahiri and others, is going from strength to strength over the years. The first edition in 2013 witnessed 2100 participants. 2014 engaged over two lakh youth across the nation with filmmaking workshops, competitions and screenings. Film personalities like Vikramaditya Motwane and Guneet Monga were part of the jury. This year the number of participants rose to over 5 lakh. 

YIAC is supported by various institutes like MICA, International Advertising Association (India Chapter), Press Club Mumbai, Film and Television Producer’s Guild, and NGOs like Care India, Helpage India and GiveIndia.
