Superstar Salman Khan says he shares his own experiences and that of his family and friends with the contestants of reality show Bigg Boss, which he hosts.

"There is not even one per cent of acting in 'Bigg Boss' that I do. I am being Salman Khan...son of Salim Khan...brother of Sohail, Arbaaz, Arpita and Alvira. I put my experiences or of my family or friends to them (contestants)," Salman told reporters at the press conference of Bigg Boss.

Salman said that his mother and Karan Johar's mother Hiroo Johar do watch the show and give him feedback.

"They watch the show and feel what the contestants are doing. It is not good to watch it. I feel one should be in limit and shouldn't cross the line," he said.

"I do watch episodes of the show and make notes of it. I share the experiences with them (contestants). When Mr Amitabh Bachchan was the host, he did not react (to fights). I react...I get lot of criticism for it," he added.

There have been reports that Salman would not be hosting the ninth season of "Bigg Boss", but he is back as a host of the controversial show.

"After three months I get exhausted but then I have a long association with the team. There are educated people ....celebrities on the show either they do things in dramatic or subtle way," he said.

The theme of the show this season is "Double Trouble".

Talking about this, the Dabangg Khan says, "I did not agree to it. They said it is the concept of the show and I found it funny. They (team) wanted to go with it." There is a buzz that couples might be part of the show.

To which Raj Natal, CEO of Colors Channel says, "You will get to see all kind of characters in the film."

Interestingly, the show is going on air from October 11, the birthday of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

"It's a coincidence...but we will take credit for it. It is our way of saying Happy Birthday," Salman said.

Salman also said fellow actor and his friend Shah Rukh Khan can come on his show Bigg Boss to promote his film upcoming Dilwale.

"I don't think he will go inside (the house). I would love him to come on the show. If he has dates he is more than welcome to come on the show, meet the contestants. I am saying it this way because I don't want it to get carried away in a different way," Salman said.

"He should come...promote (his film), have fun, share his life experiences...he has lots of experiences to share," he said.

Shah Rukh's Dilwale would be releasing on December 18 and around that time Bigg Boss would be on air. Usually actors go on reality shows to promote their films.

After years of cold war between them, Shah Rukh and Salman are back as friends and are often saying good things about each other.

Interestingly, the 'Dabangg' Khan and King Khan would clash at the box office with their films next Eid.

"There is a film of both of us coming on the same date," Salman said referring to the clash of his next film Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees.
