Hollywood star Michael Douglas is in negotiations to return for Ant-Man and the Wasp and the actor is welcoming the idea of sequel.

The 71-year-old Wall Street actor will reprise his role as Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, mentor to Scott Lang and father to Hope Van Dyne, the future Wasp, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"I just got a call they want to negotiate for a sequel and I thought, 'That's great!'. Hopefully, I won't have to carry quite as much expositional dialogue as the first one, but I had a wonderful time doing it," Douglas said.

"I welcome it. I chuckle about being involved with a movie that already has a release date in 2018. You know, it's hard to conceive of that, but it's all good," he added.

Rudd, Lilly, and director Peyton Reed are returning for the sequel slated to release in July, 2018.
