She landed in Mumbai just four days ago after wrapping up the shoot of an English show in London. The show has her in full-on action mode. “There are a lot of fight scenes, for which I got trained by Angelina Jolie’s trainer,” says Sofia Hayat proudly. Does that mean she is all set to take on the Bigg Boss contestants? “I have absolutely no idea what is going on in the house. I don’t even know the inmates,” declares the model-actress. And yet, having seen one episode, Sofia has a rough sketch of who’s sweet and who is the bully. “The tall man with curly hair (Armaan Kohli) is quite scary. Elie looks like a sweet girl while another girl with long hair (Pratyusha Banerjee) is misunderstood,” says Sofia.
More than anything, Sofia is nervous about living with so many people because she is not used to sharing things. “I am an independent person and used to doing things my way. This will be a challenge for me,” she says. What Sofia fears the most is her habit of shedding her clothes when it becomes too hot! “That’s how I am in my house, but I hope I remember I am under the cameras and keep my clothes on. In fact, I am going to write it on my wrist,” she jests.
Sofia is also conscious of the differences in culture. “I am a Britisher, used to freely discussing sexuality. I also have to be careful about my language as I have the habit of talking in my sleep, though it doesn’t mean I swear! I apologise in advance if I make mistakes,” says Sofia, who is looking forward to interacting with host Salman Khan. “He is cute, I grew up watching his films and I would like to marry him,” she declares. And what about the language barrier? “I can speak reasonably good Hindi — she has done a few Bollywood films including Diary Of A Butterfly. But people have a lot of preconceived notions about me. It’s wonderful that people consider me sexy but I would like them to go beyond that and look at me as a person,” says Sofia who undoubtedly will set the temperature soaring and change equations in the house.
