Another Bollywood clash is all set to happen this Friday at the box office. Prior to that, here are all the detailed statistics about the two films. From the budget to the screen count, here's the know-it-all about the Pulkit-Yami starrer and the Katrina-Aditya-Tabu starrer...

It's been raining big budget Bollywood clashes since December. After the heavy duty clash between Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale and Ranveer Singh's Bajirao Mastani, January 2016 also saw some gruelling neck-to-neck clashes. First it was Akshay Kumar's Airlift versus Tusshar Kapoor's Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 and then the following week, Saala Khadoos was up against Mastizaade. And it doesn't end there.

Come this Valentine's Day week and Bollywood will see yet another clash happening at the plexes. Between Yami Gautam-Pulkit Samrat's Sanam Re and Katrina Kaif-Aditya Roy Kapur-Tabu starrer Fitoor. Here are all the details about the films' budgets, screen counts and everything you need to know!

Star Power

This is something which is completely evident from the starcast. While Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela are lesser known faces and are not considered commercially viable actors in their own spaces, Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and Tabu are definitely bigger stars than them. Also, Katrina and Aditya's market value is way more than the Sanam Re stars. Not just that, we're sure even Tabu is a more commercial performer than the three. Will this work in favour of the film? It will for sure. But will it travel the distance? Depends on the budget and the word of mouth!

Budget

Both the films have a huge difference in their budget. Sanam Re is relatively a much smaller film than Fitoor. Also a large portion of Fitoor had to be re-shot after Rekha decided to walk out of the project and Abhishek Kapoor wasn't too happy with the film's rushes as well. Eventually, the difference between the two films' budget is exorbitant. While Sanam Re is made on a meagre budget of Rs 15 crore (including P&A), the same controlled budget could nowhere be seen in Fitoor's case whose making costs land up at around Rs 55 crore. Add another Rs 15 crore for its promotion and activities and the total cost of Fitoor stand at a whopping Rs 70 crore.

Screen Count

People must have scoffed off at the idea of a film like Sanam Re hitting the market on the same day as Fitoor. But you will be surprised to know that it's the Divya Khosla Kumar directorial that's getting a wider release across India. Sanam Re will be released across 2000 screens all over India while Fitoor has only got a limited 1200 screens. If there's a good word of mouth for Fitoor, then the film will definitely be able to record a better total. But we won't be surprised if Sanam Re now gives a strong competition to the Abhishek Kapoor film. After all, the 800 screens gap might play spoilsport for Fitoor's performance at the box office.

Who might win?

Chances are high that Sanam Re might put up a lower total than Fitoor. But even then, given that the budget of the film is way lesser than Fitoor, Sanam Re might end up becoming a success much before Fitoor hits the safe zone. Fitoor seems to be a riskier proposition than Sanam Re and although the easiest way would be to say that Fitoor will perform better at the BO, it will more difficult for Fitoor to break even than Sanam Re. All because of the high production cost.
