Exclusive: Salman Khan in Rajkumar Santoshi's next? Not yet!

Salman Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi had teamed up for Andaz Apna Apna over two decades back. While the director has been contemplating on a sequel to the cult classic with newcomers, grapevines were buzzing with the news of him teaming up with his reel life 'Prem' Salman Khan for another film. 

An online portal recently reported that Salman and Santoshi met and has already discussed a project for which they are planning to team up together. The film, in point is an intense action film which is tentatively going on floors sometime next time, reported the website. The article also said that Salman Khan Films will also be producing the film.

Knowing this, we spoke to Amar Butala, COO of SKF who completely rubbished all such rumours. "I don't understand where this story suddenly came from. Salman is too busy with his other projects. Rajkumar Santoshi just dropped down for a friendly visit and the moment people got to know about it, they started circulating all such baseless stories."

So are they already planning their third production venture? "We had two back to back releases and what people don't realise is that production is a hectic job. It cannot happen so randomly. A lot of planning goes behind it. We definitely have selected a few scripts but no, the next one is not with Salman. He's busy finishing his other films."

So for all those who felt the Andaz Apna Apna director-actor jodi was coming back, we're sorry but the wait might just be a long one. Indeed!
