Actor-Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin's Kanne Kalaimaane is all set to hit the cinemas by 22nd this month. Produced by his home banner Red Giant movies, the film is directed by Seenu Ramasamy and music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Speaking to DNA about how he came out of his comfort zone and tried content-driven stories, Udhayanidhi says, "After I did Manidhan and Nimir, I started to come out of my comfort zone. Now I am more willing to do projects with scope to improve my performance and acting skills. I don't want to go back and dance for bar songs and do comedy as I started loving this side of films with content. Director Seenu Ramasamy is known for the emotions he brings out on screen. The character I play in Kanne Kalaimaane is a student who does farming after doing a degree in agriculture. There are some political issues spoken like farmer loans, NEET but none are forced."

Enjoying his new avenues in acting Udhay says, "Halfway through our shoot, Seenu sir introduced a guy and told me that he wrote my character inspired by him. Turning down all the opportunities that came his way, that guy chose organic farming and is inspiring many others too. Regardless of the revenue and reception by our audience, this film will always be close to my heart."

About co-starring with Tamannaah in the film, "Tamannaah and I are friends from our Nanbenda times. After Seenu Ramasamy narrated her the script, she called and asked if I'm acting and producing the film for real. She felt that no hero could agree to a script like this, which has so much scope and screen presence for the heroine."
