Box Office Update: Wazir witnesses a great jump on Saturday!

Time and again, many Bollywood films have proved that content still reigns as the supreme king at the box office. Wazir hammers the fact and how. An intriguing tale that thrills you and stuns you, Wazir has been lapped up by the audiences and that in itself is great news for the makers. 

Treading on the lines of an unconventionally commercial thriller, Wazir was a risk. A risk that's paid off well. While one expected the film to have a lukewarm opening, the film opened to Rs 5.25 crore, which is at par with films like Piku. Not just that, the film grew tremendously on Saturday and picked up very well at the plexes. 

Wazir netted around Rs 7 crore on Saturday which is phenomenal considering the intellect that's involved. With over Rs 35 percent growth already, the Farhan Akhtar-Amitabh Bachchan starrer is expected to grow further on Sunday and bring in another Rs 8-8.50 crore, taking its opening weekend total well past the Rs 20 crore mark. 

That is no mean feat, given the stakes involved and with Rs 12.25 crore coming in the first two days, the film is expected to trod into the safe zone sooner than later. But what needs to be seen is how the film fares at the ticket windows over the weekdays.
