On the occasion of International Women's Day, Bollywood stars lauded the constant sacrifices the fairer sex make everyday and wished for their empowerment.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Bollywood stars lauded the constant sacrifices the fairer sex make everyday and wished for their empowerment.

Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Shabana Azmi, Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Madhur Bhandarkar took to Twitter to express their admiration and respect towards the women.
"Eric Clapton said it best. For all sisters, daughters mothers..."You look wonderful tonight". You are the life and it's light," SRK tweeted.

"On Womens day we salute all those women whose work over the years has given us strength in our struggle for Equality and Justice. March On!," Azmi posted.

Emphasising on the importance of their presence, Bhandarkar wrote," This life has no existence without a woman in every stage of life from motherhood to wife, sister and finally a daughter. Happy Women's Day."

Bipasha celebrates being a women everyday.

"I celebrate being a woman everyday. On International Women's Day sending out love to all of you fabulous women.
Stay awesome!," she posted.

"Love yourself should be the philosophy of each woman.

Look after your beautiful self, nurture yourself, celebrate yourself," she added.

Abhishek tweeted," I believe girls and women everywhere have a right to equal opportunity and protection." Anupam Kher wrote, "Happy International Women's Day. Thank You."
Filmmaker Subhash Ghai said his upcoming film 'Kaanchi' is a tribute to women of India.

"Woman's Day. Great. I have done it in 'Kaanchi' which offers a huge tribute to women of India not only on this day but everyday of her life."
Music composer Shekhar Ravjiani wrote," Happy Women's Day.
