Last night's episode saw one of the strangest tasks in the history of Bigg Boss. What was it? Well, it was the Nilami Task, also called The Auction where four contestants were asked to bid the highest amounts to get their bags back. Yes, remember how Bigg Boss took away the bags of seven contestants (one from each pair) right in the beginning of Bigg Boss 9? Well, Bigg Boss this time had an innovative task where he asked Keith, Digangana, Prince and Suyyash to bid for their bags and the people with the three highest bids will receive their bags back. What's the catch? The total sum that the three contestants bid for will be deducted from the show's original cash prize which is Rs 50 lakh.

Not understanding the task, Prince, Suyyash and Digangana bid for their bags and they got it back too. but the did pay a price for it. Over Rs 10 lakh was deducted from the total prize money and the new amount stands at Rs 39,66,667! And this got the entire house infuriated. Contestants started protesting and even went on to blame Bigg Boss for breaching the contract. While they claimed that this task and deduction wasn't a part of their contract, Vikas clarifies that the prize money was not mentioned on paper.

And now that the contestants have started discussing about the Bigg Boss 9 contract, here's all that the contract actually entails.

Signing Amount!
Each contestant is paid a whopping signing amount just to be on the show. And believe me when I say it, the amount is huge. Once a contestant signs on the dotted lines to be a part of the show, Bigg Boss pays the signing amount within a week's time. That's a guaranteed fee that the contestants get, much before the shoot starts.

Day Dilemma!
All contestants who sign up for the show need to stay free from other commitments for the entire period that Bigg Boss runs. Usually it's a period of around 120 days. While the show spans over 105 days, the remaining 15 days are kept for promo shoots, commercials, marketing and promotion. There's a catch here too. Even if a contestant gets eliminated much before the finale week, the contestant will have to be available for the channel and the show whenever required.

Weekly amount!
Other than the signing fee, each contestant gets an additional fee every week, only if he/she completes two week stay inside the house. So whoever gets eliminated in the first two weeks aren't applicable for this one, unless they make a wild card entry back inside the house. The weekly amount is paid only till the contestants survive the game. Once they are eliminated from the show, they aren't given the same anymore.

No details!
Bigg Boss contract clearly mentions that none of the contestants are allowed to talk about the show in the media or give out interviews about the same. The contestants' list is always a closely guarded secret and the makers won't divulge any details till the premiere and does not allow the other contestants to even know who all are joining them on the show. If they divulge details, Bigg Boss also has the right to exclude the particular contestant from participating on the show.

Winning amount!
In addition to the signing amount and the weekly consideration, there's this winning prize money which only the winner receives. For the BB9 contestants, it stands at Rs 39,66,667 now so whoever wins the show will get the signing amount, the weekly fee till the last week and the cash prize as well. Now you know there's a lot of money involved! And the amount is credited to the winner within 75 days of them being declared winner on the show.

Other catches!
In case anyone is eliminated mid-way, the contract doesn't allow the contestant to interact with the outside world until their eviction episode has been telecast on Colors. And if by chance, someone chooses to leave the show mid-way, he'she is liable to pay a hefty sum of up to Rs 50 lakh to the makers. Ouch!

Now you know how complicated the Bigg Boss contract is like. So for all Bigg Boss fans, here's the revelation. What do you think now? Are the contestants justified in their stand which they took against Bigg Boss in last night's episode?
