Al Pacino has revealed that he was left badly burnt when he grabbed the barrel of a newly fired gun while shooting Scarface.

The 71-year-old actor, who played the iconic character of Tony Montana in the 1983 gangster classic, placed his hands on the burning hot barrel, forgetting that 30 rounds had just been shot from it.

"My hand stuck to that sucker," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

The Oscar-winning star suffered severe injuries, which prevented him from shooting scenes for the movie for almost two weeks after the incident.
