The Delhi government presented its Outcome Budget report on Wednesday, a day ahead of the finance budget. 

The comprehensive report that covered 34 departments and agencies of Delhi government, and comprised of over 1,900 unique and measurable indicators was presented on Wednesday.

EDUCATION

27 schemes and programmes of DoE were inducted in current year’s outcome budget with a total of 153 output and outcome indicators while 20 schemes of higher education included a total of 193 outcome and output indicators. The government trained 1,00,300 teachers. 24,500 EWS/DG students admitted in un-aided private schools while 8.603 students admitted under 12 sponsored state government colleges in Delhi University. 

ROADS & BRIDGES

Seven kilometres of National Highways was strengthened against the target of 10km for the year 2017-2018 while 37 km of the Ring Road and Outer Ring Road were strengthened against the target of 41. 47 km and 
111 kilometres of arterial roads were strengthened against the target of 115 kilometres. 

Around 52 per cent of Barapullah phase 3 project has been completed against the target of 70 per cent for the year 2017-2018.

HEALTH

160 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics have been established up to December 2017, against the target of 1,000 clinics in the Capital. A total of 32 lakh patients availed healthcare service under these clinics while about 1.90 lakh children of 9-11 month age group were fully immunised against the target of 2.52 lakh children. A total of 48,879 patients suffering from TB were put on treatment till December 2017 as against 57,000 patients in 2016-2017.

NIGHT SHELTER

The government added 107 new Jan Suvidha complexes and 3,755 new toilet seats till December 2017 for the year 2017-2018. After Trans Yamuna area development board recommended 27 projects, 50 per cent of the project cost for the same has already been released. 263 night shelters run by DUSIB have accommodated 20,984 people in 2017-2018 while the number of average occupants per day in these night shelters was increased to 13,178 in 2017-2018. 

DELHI JAL BOARD

1,209 unauthorised colonies were connected with water pipelines up to 2017-2018 by the government and to provide water supply in such colonies, 3923 km of new water pipeline was laid while 265 unauthorised colonies were connected with sewerage network up to December 2017. To prevent water loss caused through leakages, 2064 km length of defective pipelines have been replaced up to December 2017 while 38 tube wells have been added and 51 tube wells redeveloped.
