The second T20I clash between Indian women and South Africa was called off due to rain at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium here on Thursday.
Surat received relentless rainfall throughout the day and also forced a delay in toss which eventually could not happen and the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
This was the second T20I match of the five-match series between the nations and India won the first match by 11 runs as thanks to Deepti Sharma's exceptional performance, and lead the series 1-0.
On the day, Sharma secured three wickets to her name and bowled three maidens in her four overs.
