In a momentous occasion today, January 22, in Ayodhya, the divine presence of Lord Ram will be enshrined within the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Mandir. The entire city is decorated with flowers and radiant lights as devotees eagerly await the consecration ceremony this afternoon. What makes this moment even more special is the remarkable fact that the entire construction of the Ram Mandir has been funded solely by the donations of devoted followers.

Among the many contributors, a standout individual emerges—Dilip Kumar V Lakhi and his family, prominent diamond merchants from Surat. Their extraordinary gesture involves a donation of 101 kg of gold, a grand contribution valued at approximately 68 crore rupees. This gold will be used to adorn the doors, sanctum sanctorum, trishul, damaru, and pillars of the Ram Mandir, adding a nice touch to the sacred structure.

In the current market, the price of gold is around 68,000 rupees per 10 grams. Consequently, the total value of the Lakhi family's donation of 101 kgs of gold reaches an impressive 68 crores. This substantial offering marks the most significant donation to the Ram Mandir Trust to date.

Noteworthy contributions from renowned people include the spiritual leader Morari Bapu, who donated 11.3 crores, and Ram devotees from the United States, Canada, and Britain, contributing a separate 8 crores. Additionally, Gujarat's diamond magnate, Govindbhai Dholakia, donated a substantial sum of 11 crores. In the broader context of temple donations worldwide, the Mahavir Mandir in Patna takes the lead, having contributed a substantial 10 crores towards the construction of the Ram Mandir.

As Ayodhya prepares for this historic event, the generosity of individuals and organisations shows unwavering devotion and unity of the people across the country.

The spirit of shared dedication resonates as a fine example of inspiration, making the path for future generations to come.
