Shahid Kapoor announces 'Kabir Singh' trailer date with swag in new poster

Shahid Kapoor's much-awaited remake of Arjun Reddy, titled Kabir Singh, has been winning praises ever since the teaser of the film was unveiled on April 8. The audiences are now waiting with bated breath to watch the trailer of the film. The actor did give us a surprise and revealed the date when the trailer would be unveiled. It so happens that the trailer would come out after a month of the teaser release.

Shahid Kapoor, in his own funky style, unveiled the date of the trailer release for Arjun ReddyThe Padmaavat actor shared a poster where his swag can be seen all over. The poster screams about his anger issues, alcoholism and love.

While unveiling the poster, Shahid wrote, "Trailer out on 13th May! #KabirSingh @Advani_Kiara @imvangasandeep @itsBhushanKumar @MuradKhetani #KrishanKumar @ashwinvarde @TSeries @Cine1Studios @KabirSinghMovie"

The movie, directed by the original director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also features Kiara Advani in the role of Preeti aka Shahid's lover. Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh is slated to release in theatres on June 21 this year.

The movie Arjun Reddy was a Telugu film which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles. Kabir Singh, like Arjun Reddy, will see Shahid get into self-harm through alcohol and temper issues, post his lover's wedding to someone else. The actor, while speaking about how it actually harmed himself, had mentioned, "I don't endorse smoking at all. However, the role required it, as the protagonist uses it to channel his angst and rage. It wasn't easy, and it came to a point where I smoked almost 20 cigarettes a day. It would take me close to two hours to shower and get rid of the smells before I could return home to my children."
