Sanju: How Ranbir Kapoor stepped into Sanjay Dutt’s shoes, literally!

If Shah Rukh Khan has his open arms pose, Sanjay Dutt has a distinct style of walking that is hard to imitate. But what adds that extra swag to his walk are his boots. Knowing what a stylish man Sanju is, it’s quite believable that the star gets his footwear customised.

Now Ranbir Kapoor, who is stepping into the senior actor’s shoes, literally, with the biopic on the latter being directed by Rajkumar Hirani, took it upon himself to get acquainted with every aspect of his life. RK, apparently, went to Sanju’s house to observe his clothes and shoes. Says a source, “The makers left no stone unturned to replicate Sanjay’s look. Special attention was dedicated to get his look, styling, and body language correct. Hence, Ranbir visited Sanjay’s house to observe his things closely, especially the boots with heels that add the typical swag to his walk.”

In addition, the source said, “Sanjay, who takes his passion for fashion to another level, has his shoes/boots handcrafted and customised. The designer used a few of Ranbir’s personal shoes and added a slight heel to match his style in each era. They even got a pair of Harley Davidson boots with buckles to match that of Sanjay.”
