Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer sci-fi dystopian film, Kalki 2898 AD, is all set to hit the theatres this year. The makers of the film have finally unveiled the new release date of the film along with an intriguing poster leaving the fans excited.
On Friday, Vyjayanthi Movies took to their official Instagram handle and while sharing a new poster of Prabhas from Kalki 2898 AD, the makers unveiled the new release date of the film. In the poster, Prabhas can be seen in a superhero suit holding a stick and a spaceship over his head. The makers captioned the post, "The story that ended 6000 years ago. Begins May 9, 2024. The future unfolds."
Netizens shared their excitement for the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer and flooded the comment section. One of the comments read, "Another blockbuster loading." Prabhas, Deepika Padukone-starrer Kalki 2898 AD is set to release in theatres on May 9. The film is set to clash with Rajkummar Rao's Sri, a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film was earlier set to release on September 15, 2024, however, got postponed and is now scheduled to hit the theatres on May 10. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and penned by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, Sri is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD was supposed to be released in January, however, the film has now been postponed to May. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani along with others in key roles, and is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
