Jennifer Winget's fiancé in 'Bepannaah', Taher Shabbir to be a part of Kangana's 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi

By now most of us are aware about how the makers of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, are trying hard to finish the shoot of the film within the stipilated time. 

Everyone including the lead of the film, Kangana Ranaut have been dedicating going out of their way and trying to wrap up the up the pending shoot, which was recently extended after Sonu Sood walked out of it. 

Latest news regarding the film is that an addition has been made to the star cast with TV actor Taher Shabbir joining the film.

Taher Shabbir, who was seen in shows like Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, is currently shooting for the Jennifer Winget, Harshad Chopra starrer romantic series Bepannaah

Readers would probably remember the actor from Taapsee Pannu starrer Naam Shabana, wherein the actor essayed the role of the actress' love interest. 

Amidst his TV commitments, Taher will has agreed to accommodate the shoot of the period drama. The actor will be seen playing the role of Sangram Singh, who joined the 1857 revolt against the British Rule along with Rani Laxmibai and other revolutionists.

In fact, Taher will get to shoot a lot of scenes along with Kangana Ranaut. 

Expressing his happiness over being a part of the project, Taher stated that Kangana is like family. He also added that he doesn’t mind the hectic schedule of shooting for the film and his TV show simultaneously.

As for the prep, reports have sources asserting that Taher Shabbir has already been trained in horse riding and that he has also been taking sword fighting lessons with Nick Powell, who is the action director of the film.

Close to completion, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has a 40 day schedule wherein the Mental Hai Kya actress will be shooting major action and war sequences. 

Besides Taher, after Sonu’s exit, Zeeshan Ayyub who has replaced the actor, will also be shooting for certain sequences. 

Directed by Krish, who is currently busy with the NTR biopic, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is expected to release on January 25.
