The Lok Ayukta special court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of Upper Bhadra case to January 30.

The Lok Ayukta police had submitted in the court that the investigation has been completed. It may be recalled that the JD(S) spokesperson YSV Datta had filed a complaint against former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, alleging that the contract for the Upper Bhadra project was given to Murudeshwar Power Corporation because the company paid `30 crore to the firms managed by Yeddyurappa’s kith and kin.

The case came up for hearing before Judge NK Sudhindra Rao. The Lok Ayukta police submitted a status report of the case.
The Lok Ayukta police have submitted that the investigation has been completed and that the report has been sent to the legal cell of Lok Ayukta for scrutiny and that they require some time to file the investigation report.
