Street dog menace has resurfaced in JP Nagar.

On Sunday morning, a five-year-old boy, Selvam, was attacked by stray dogs. The incident took place near Puttenahalli Lake.
The dogs attacked the boy and bit his face.

The boy’s face was disfigured since he was bitten several times.
Selvam’s mother was busy picking rags near the lake when a pack of stray dogs appeared suddenly and attacked the child. The boy was treated at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and he was administered anti-rabies vaccination. Mohammad Tiran, BBMP joint director (animal husbandry), said that the incident took place near a garbage dump.

“I visited the spot and, with the services of Karuna Animal Welfare Trust, we rounded up eight dogs from the lake area,” Tiran said.
