Six-year-old girl raped and murdered in Bangalore

A six-year-old girl, daughter of construction labourers, was murdered after she was raped in her shed at Ramdev Garden, in KG Halli police limits, on Friday.

The police said the incident took place about 4.30 pm on Friday but came to light only at 7 pm, when the girl’s parents, Enkappa and Hanumakka, natives of Bellary district, came to their shed. They saw their daughter was dead and informed the police, who rushed to the spot. The police said the miscreants entered the house when the girl was alone and raped her. Then they murdered her by strangling or smothering and fled.

The police shifted the body to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital and handed it over to the deceased’s parents on Saturday morning after a postmortem.

The police said that as per their preliminary investigation, the minor’s neighbours, who too work as labourers, are the perpetrators. KG Halli police have picked up a few persons from the area on basis of suspicion. However, no one was arrested till Saturday night. The police said they had some clues and were working on it.
