A sports meet for private security personnel, modelled on the lines of the annual Police Sports Meet, was hosted on Sunday at the RV College of Engineering. More than 200 security personnel participated in track and field events, athletics disciplines, and team sports.
However, the highlight of the event was the Twenty20 cricket tournament, which saw their active participation. “There is also a proposal to take this sports meet to the national level,” said Flt Lt KP Nagesh, chairman, UNIQ Detectives & Security Services Pvt Ltd.
