Prospect of divorce makes her end life

A secret love marriage ended in a tragedy for a college student when the families of the couple came to know of their relationship two years later.

The families recently dragged them to court for a divorce. Left with no option, she hanged herself in her home on Wednesday when her parents and sister were away, police said. 

The victim was Bidushree, 20, a final year BCom student of Sri Aurobindo First Grade College in Mahalakshmipuram.

Five years back, she fell in love with Lokesh aka Kallu Loki. Two years ago, they got secretly married.

When their families came to know of their relationship, they forced them to get divorced. However, Bidushree told her parents that she needed some time to take a decision. On Wednesday, she dropped her sister Lavanya at school and returned home. Her parents too were not at home. Left alone, she decided to take the extreme step.

At 5.30 pm, Lavanya returned from school and found her sister hanging from the ceiling.
