Over 22,000 pirated DVDs, CDs seized in Bangalore

Central Crime Branch sleuths have seized 22,174 pirated DVDs and CDs, valued at Rs42 lakh, and arrested 11 people engaged in the racket, police said today.

During the raid yesterday, CCB sleuths also recovered three cell-phones Rs600 from the accused.

They were selling pirated CDs of several films, including Bodyguard (Hindi), Prince of Persia (English), Vaseegara (Tamil) and Mugguru (Telugu) in violation of Copyright Act, police said.
