Netizens started pouring out their grief on social networking websites no sooner than the news of Steve Jobs’s death broke out.

Websites such as Facebook and Twitter were flooded with tribute messages to the man behind the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
Many updated their status, grieving the loss of a visionary. Many others put picture of the Apple logo as their display picture. Then there were those who shared the video of his 2005 Stanford Commencement address.  According to gadget freak MP Dinesh Kumar, the visionary must have left behind a plan for the next 10 years.

“Knowing the way he was, he must have planned the Apple products [for] until 2020. The iPod, which [was] first released in 2003, was planned by him in 1996,” said the owner of a MacBook Pro, iPhone 4, Mac Mini, and 2 iPads.

On Facebook, GenX lamented the loss of a visionary. Prarthana Sampath, who owns the iPhone 4 and iPod and is a big fan of Apple products, says it is hard to say if Apple will ever be the same.

“Now, Apple will have to prove itself to be as good as it was previously. The products stood out because of the different thinking on Jobs’s part,” she said. “The products really won’t be the same,” she says.

For Siddharth Jaiswal, Jobs was a role model. “I want to be able to start a company as big as Apple. With Jobs, the leadership is lost. The company was always dependent on his key-note [address], but I do hope the quality remains the same,” said the commerce student.
