Mysore tragedy: 3-year-old girl falls to death from balcony

Her mother Mala was busy with household chores and father Chandru was away when the accident occurred.

Playing on the balcony proved fatal for three-year-old Harshini, who fell to her death from the second-floor balcony of her house in Jayanagara, Mysore, at 8.30 am on Saturday.

Her mother Mala was busy with household chores and father Chandru was away when the accident occurred.

Harshini climbed onto a stone bench in the balcony, lost her balance and fell from the second-floor balcony.

She was rushed to a clinic where she was declared brought dead.
Her family decided not to inform the police and conducted the last rites by 9.30 am.

“I was in my farmland in Mandya when I got the message. But before I could reach Mysore, Harshini was buried. The last time I saw her was four months back,” said a relative.

Dejected student commits suicide
Manoj Kumar, a 20-year-old student, hanged himself on
Saturday.

Manoj, who was a second-semester B.Com student in Krupanidhi College, was dejected after he failed in the Kannada exam.

He was earlier instructed to bring his parents along to collect his hall ticket on Monday.

Manoj ended his life at his house in HSR Layout 7th Sector. His body has been taken to St John’s Hospital. The Madiwala police registered a complaint.
