Yet another group of BJP MLAs has left for New Delhi to meet the party’s central leaders regarding the tussle over the chief minister’s post in the state.

Former minister Aravind Limbavali heads the group, which includes labour minister BN Bacche Gowda, primary and secondary education minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, and legislators Abhay Patil and Chiranthi Mutt. The group identifies itself with chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

Sources said the group would urge the party’s central leadership to clear the confusion regarding chief ministership, which has become a bone of contention between the incumbent and the former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa.

This group’s trip to New Delhi comes on the heels of the one headed by municipal administration minister Balachandra Jarkiholi.

He recently met the BJP’s national leaders in New Delhi and urged them to let Gowda continue as the chief minister.

Bache Gowda told presspersons on Saturday that confusion prevailed in the party regarding chief ministership and that was why he and the others were going to meet the party’s top leaders—to urge them to clear all the confusion in the interest of the party.

After hectic political activity till Ugadi at the national capital, Yeddyurappa spent time at his residence, taking a break from lobbying for the CM’s post.

His loyalists, ministers Jagadish Shettar and Basavaraj Bommai and others, too stayed in their districts.
Sources said the Yeddyurappa camp is waiting for March 31 to act.
The party bosses have promised to give him a suitable post by that time.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa attended Lokayukta special court on Saturday regarding land denotification cases.

The cases pertain to the third and fourth private complaints of advocate Sirajin Basha. The cases were adjourned to April 18 for furnishing a list of witnesses.
